‘What Happened To Monday’ is a fierce story that explores humanity’s greatest fears while also providing a moral foundation on what matters: the right to live.
There were moments of unsatisfied narrative threads throughout the film, such as the mention of a father who never showed up although the step mother continuously said “he’s on his way.” And perhaps this would have been a lovely analogy of someone enduring dissatisfaction (since when is real life ever so neat?).
Although released in 2014, México Pelágico is a story that can transcend time simply because it is a film that illustrates a group’s collective desire for sharing with the public the need to care for this planet — specifically for the health of the oceans.
